The Island Inside (La Isla Interior)
REVIEWS
A deliciously paranoid black comedy.
INSIDERS MADRID
This is a well directed film, with a well crafted script and excellent performance.(...) Great work by the actors; both Candela Peña and Alberto San Juan are fantastic.
DECINE 21
Cristina Marcos and Candela Peña give a wonderful rendition.
LA RAZÓN

La isla interior revives la Seminci in its final stages. The film received a warm welcoming.
NOTICIAS DE NAVARRA
La isla interior adds good Spanish cinema to the Seminci. Félix Sabroso and Dunia Ayaso are convincing presenting a devastating picture of a dysfunctional family. The three brothers seem to come out of a comedy by Wes Anderson about misfits. They make your laugh but soon they make you feel pity. The characters’ eccentric behaviour makes for hilarious gags, and directors had to control themselves to avoid turning the film into a farce.
HOY
O. L. Belategui
La isla interior is a drama without concessions about a dysfunctional family. (…) Ayaso and Sabroso immerse the audience in a roller coaster of held back emotions on the brink of blowing up, of silence that is more eloquent than many conversations and of tension among all family members.
EL MUNDO
Sabroso and Ayaso turn to melodrama with La isla interior y make their best film. The dramatic structure allows for a definition of characters first and of their conflicts after. (…) Alberto San Juan is very convincing without having to resort to over performance or clichés.
