RIGOBERTO PEREZCANO
Rigoberto Perezcano is a documentary filmmaker interested in its dramatic possibilities. He studied film at the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematograficos (CUEC). Recently his documentary XV en Zaachila (XV in Zaachila) screened at festivals in Latin America, the United States and Europe, receiving prizes at the Mexico City Contemporary International Film Festival and the Morelia International Film Festival, among others. The film was broadcast on the National Geographic Channel. Rigoberto Perezcano's debut feature in 2009 Norteado (Northless) is a touching and powerful film which follows Andres on his numerous attempts to enter the United States at the Tijuana border. Norteado was nominated for, and won numerous international awards, including Best Director at Thessaloniki Film Festival.
