La Mirada de Ang Lee
We are absolutely honoured to have Ang Lee as a guest curator. Considered one of today´s greatest filmmakers, the multi-awarded Ang Lee is one of our favourite directors. Winner of more than 67 awards, his wonderful films have garnered the most important recognition in the most prestigious festivals and awards ceremonies around the world. From his second film, The Wedding Banquet, which won the Golden Bear at the 1993 Berlin International FF, to Lust Caution, Winner of the Golden Lion at Venice FF in 2007, all his movies have received numerous awards, amongst them several Academy Awards and Golden Globes. Sense and Sensibility, The Ice Storm, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Brokeback Mountain are some of the most lauded, popular and critically acclaimed films of the last decades. His choice, which will be revealed at the moment of the screening, is a masterpiece of Spanish cinema and won´t disappoint his numerous fans.
