Brainiac is pure histrionic filmic pleasure for the lovers of cult horror. The film tells the story of Baron Vitelius who, after being burnt at the stake in 1661 by the Inquisition, vows to avenge himself on his perpetrators’ descendants once three centuries pass. True to his word, three hundred years later, he returns to the world of the living. Metamorphosed into a hairy, fork-tongued monster with a pulsating head, Baron Vitelius will take on terrorising the damned descendants by sucking out their brains. Hilariously funny, this outrageous cult classic has influenced a generation of gore-inspired filmmakers.
