Based on a true story, director Elena Trapé presents a compelling return to adolescence, where values like friendship, frankness and virtue are meaningful and possible. Trapé’s characters, played by young amateur actresses, challenge the contemporary clichéd discourse of youth as a hedonistic mix of drugs, sex and irresponsibility. The seven females portrayed in Blog cherish above all their friendship and their sense of belonging to the group, two dignified principles that will drive them to a dangerous plan of uncertain consequences. In Blog, Trapé has crafted a truthful and fresh portrait of youth who refuse to be stereotyped and reminds the viewer of the power of innocence.
