Based on a successful contemporary tale by extremely popular Argentinean writer and cartoonist Roberto Fontanarrosa, A Matter of Principle tells the story of Adalberto, a man who lives pontificating principles and ethics. These will be challenged when he is forced to confront his values, his family and himself, after refusing to sell his young, new boss, a collectable magazine he needs to complete his collection. Director Rodrigo Grande deploys this rather mundane anecdote to craft a beautifully acted and heart-warmingly funny drama in which the spectator is compelled to get attached to a group of vulnerable characters who endure the pressures of everyday life with a certain dose of grandeur.
