This darkly-comic story follows Petrita and Rodolfo, who have been engaged for twelve years. Forced to live in shared cramped spaces, their married life can only start together when they have their own flat. The solution comes in the form of Rodolfo's landlady who seems to be close to death. However, their carefully laid plans do not turn out as they envisaged.
Limited in exposure due to Francoist censorship, El Pisito is now regarded as one of the greatest films in Spanish Cinema.
