Txomin who left the constant political tension of the Basque region ten years ago returns to visit his dying brother. The conflict and divisions that drove him away have been taken up by a whole new generation, including his nephew, Gaizka. Txomin, considered a traitor by his nephew, tries to forge a relationship with him through their shared loved of Pelota (the basque game of handball). As Txomin’s daughter, Ane, who has until now been sheltered from the conflict, develops her own relationship with Gaizka, she begins questioning her identity and connection to her homeland. Featuring the charismatic young actors Juan José Ballesta (Thieves) and Verónica Echegui (My Prison Yard, Yo Soy la Juani), who recently won the Berlin International Film Festival's Shooting Star Award of 2009, will present the film.
