"I just like to thank you for your efforts in putting such a wonderful festival.
It was very valuable and seemed "intimate" to be able to meet and 
question an actor from the movie.
Its a great concept and creates invaluable interaction with your audience.
I look forward to the next festival.  I know and appreciate the 
efforts put into such events as Im involved in event management with 
my own business.
It takes a good group enthusiastic volunteers who will eventually be 
paid workers.

congratulations on a hugely successful inaugural festival...I had a ball!!
La Tia Tula was my favourite personal 'discovery' of the festival, though it was
magical to see Victor Erice's beautiful films on screen again and also to see 
Viggo Mortensen act in Spanish in Alatriste (he's very convincing, I think)!
Excellent opening night film too...
Daniel Sanchez Arevalo is definitely a talent to keep an
eye on.
Very much looking forward to La Mirada in 2008...all the very best with it :)

Opening night Success

The Opening Night Gala of La Mirada was a great success. Both cinemas were sold out and we received extraordinary feedback from hundreds of attendees. Thanks to Tim Rogers and The Temperance Union for their wonderful performance, to MoVida and Spanish Acquisition for their superb food and wines. And thanks to the audience, for appreciating the movie, for enjoying the party and for supporting us. We hope to see you during the next ten days.
