Directed by one of Spain’s most respected and awarded documentary film makers, Winter in Baghdad is a chilling documentary but at the same time full of hope and beauty. Its main characters are children who smile, play, work and try to go on with their lives. This is an impressive and moving film, shot before and after the invasion of Iraq which integrates the political with the personal stories of this conflict. The director was part of the human shields.
