One of the most celebrated films of the 60’s and a precursor of the New Spanish Cinema. Tula, a beautiful, pious woman takes it upon herself to look after her recently deceased sister’s husband and two orphaned children. As she resits the fervent complications of her new life, what develops is a masterful examination of sexual tension and sacrifice.

Alejandro Amenabar, (Director The Others, The Sea Inside) has also chosen this movie as his favorite of the classics of Spanish Cinema.
