In March 1974, the young militant of the Movimiento Iberico de Liberacion (Iberian Libertarian Movement), Salvador Puig Antich, became the last political prisoner to be executed in Spain by the garrotte. Starring Daniel Bruhl (Goodbye Lenin), this movie tells Salvador’s story and that of the desperate attempts of his family, colleagues and lawyers to avoid his execution. Receiving a standing ovation at Cannes in 2006, this film will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
